National Derny Championships

About the Event

The third national cycling event at Derby Arena this year is the National Derny Championships, last hosted here in 2023.

Event Cancellation Notice – National Derny Championships has been cancelled due to unforeseen technical issues. Riders: If you registered to compete, we will be in touch with you directly as soon as possible. Spectators: We will be in touch soon to arrange a refund for anyone who purchased a ticket.

Derny racing is a high speed motor paced event, harking back to days of old with the thunderous roar of up to 8 riders and motorbikes per heat. There are qualifications heats culminating in a national final. There is a support racing programme in between heats to ensure that the evening is packed with the nation’s best riders!.

Speeds are in excess of 60KPH and the noise and thrill of Derny racing is unrivalled.  

Please note, seating is unreserved for this event.

There is a DCFC match on the same day, please come to Derby Arena reception to pay for parking, £3.00.
