The Movement is a great programme keeping young people active and healthy.
Young people aged 12-16 can use the gym facilities for just £1.20 at Queen's Leisure Centre, Springwood Leisure Centre and Derby Arena. If Young people want to access the gym outside of the Movement times they must be accompanied by an adult (18 years and over). Please note, this is restricted to the use of cardio and resistance machines, although they would be able to use free weights from 16 years old.
What times will I be able to use the gym?
During school holidays juniors will be able to use the gym during the following times:
|Monday, Wednesday and Friday||2.30pm - 5.30pm|
|Tuesday and Thursday||3.30pm - 5.30pm|
10.30am - 1pm at Queen's Leisure Centre
12noon - 2.30pm at Derby Arena and Springwood Leisure Centre
|Sunday||2pm - 6pm|
During term time juniors will be able to use the gym during the following times:
|Monday to Friday||3.30pm - 5.30pm|
|Saturday||12noon - 2.30pm|
|Sunday||2pm - 6pm|
*Please note our gym is available to juniors age 12 up to their 17th birthday.

How to join
You will need to complete the Movement application form prior to your visit,and complete the Activity consent form to use the gym, which your parent will need to sign.

Sports and classes
Football, dancing, Zumba, circuits and boxfit are just some of the many activities on offer through The Movement! Check the website for updates throughout the year.
Swimming is available at Queen's Leisure Centre during public swim sessions, for young people aged 12-16, at a cost of £1.20. Public swim times vary throughout the year, so remember to check the pool programme here.
