Dame Sarah Storey training at Derby Arena

Tue 17 Feb 2015

Dame Sarah Storey, Great Britain's most decorated female Paralympian, has won 11 gold medals, and she is also a three-times British champion on the track, taking on able-bodied rivals. This road and track racing cyclist and former swimmer, is training at Derby Arena for an Hour Record attempt on 28 February during round five of the Revolution Series at the Olympic Velodrome.

The Hour Record marks how far a cyclist has travelled in 60 minutes and, for the first time, the record will be open to female cyclists.

Dame Sarah Storey said:

“It’s a superb venue to focus on. You’ll be able to host fantastic events here and people will be able to use it as a community focal point for cycling and other sports as well.”

We were really excited to have Dame Sarah Storey train at Derby Arena, she is such an inspiration for all.
