Summer is here, and there's never been a better time to get your child active. This July, we're making it even easier for juniors to join Derby Active with no joining fee on our Derby Active Junior Memberships. Junior Gym membership are £13.99 a month rolling direct debit, so you can cancel at any time (no contracts).
A Derby Active Junior Membership gives young people access to our fantastic facilities across Derby. Whether your child wants to use the gym, swim, or try something new this summer, we've got everything they need to stay active and have fun. Visit us at Springwood Leisure Centre or Derby Arena and let our friendly team help them get started.

What age does your child need to be?
Young people need to be within the age of 12-16 to use the gym facilities and aged 14-16 to attend our classes. Junior Gym members can still attend outside of session blocks if accompanied by an over 18. Please note, this is restricted to the use of cardio and resistance machines, although they would be able to use free weights from 16 years old.
How to join
There is plenty of way to get started at our gym, please choose what fits the best for you.
- Visit our customer service team at Derby Arena or Springwood Leisure Centre.
- Ring our customer service team to arrange setting up your Junior membership.

- Offer available at Derby Active facilities only from 01/07/26 – 31/07/26.
- Offer excludes re-joining members from three months previously.
- All monthly membership types are only available at Derby Active sites.
