About the Event
Come along and spectate the Europe's largest martial arts competition.
Derby Arena will play host to Europe's largest martial arts competition on Sunday 29th November 2015, when the Tae Kwon Do association of Great Britain will hold its British championships.
It's expected that 1,200 competitors from all over the United Kingdom will take part, with the participants ranging from ages 6 to 60. By attending the event you will be able to spectate boys, girls, men and women's individual events and team competition.
You will be excited to find out that Britain's top black belts will be there displaying their skills. This style of martial arts is not part of the Olympics; however it is the original style of the art that the T.A.G.B. association practice.
The T.A.G.B. are founder members of the British Tae Kwon Do Council, which is the national governing body for the sport. Their chairman Dave Oliver said:
'If you want a great day out with lots of excitement make sure you're there on the 29th November'.
Tickets are available from the TAGB school instructor. You will also be able to purchase tickets on the day from the Arena.
Doors open at 9am and the competition will start at 9.30am.
