About the Event

Come and watch some action-packed cycling in the build up to Summer and the hugely anticipated Summer Olympic Games in our Road to Rio Summer race nights.

Whether you were a regular spectator at the track league events or not, it is easy to watch, enjoy and understand these competitive, adrenaline-fuelled cycling races which will be taking place over Summer.

Following on from the first Sprint night on Tue 10 May, we were delighted to be joined by world class athletes from Team Raleigh. The night consisted of 2 normal track league races plus a Team Sprint. 

These are the rules for upcoming race nights:

  • Racing 7pm – 10pm
  • Open only to registered riders
  • All 4 groups each night
  • Entry via BC website – entries will open on the Tuesday 2 weeks in advance of race night and close on the Thursday before e.g. entry for 10 May will open 26 April and close just before midnight on Thursday 5 May.
  • Cost of entry £10
  • Entries on first come, first served basis for all 4 groups for all 4 evenings.
  • Only 3 races per night, 2 normal track league races and 1 special race
  • Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each race at £15, £10 and £5 respectively.
  • No track league points awarded for the 4 nights.

We have plenty of space for spectators to come and soak up the atmosphere, with a café available to serve food and drink on the evening of the event. Our upcoming events are:

Tuesday 9 August – Endurance night

2 normal track league races plus a Super Scratch A -128 laps, B - 96 laps, C - 80 laps, A - 64, laps

We reserve the right to tweak the programme if necessary but the sprint/endurance focus of the alternative weeks will not change.
