Catfish & the Bottlemen announce UK tour - opening at Derby Arena in November

Swiftly following the release of their eagerly anticipated new album The Ride, Brit Breakthrough Award winners Catfish and the Bottlemen announce a UK tour this November opening at Derby Arena on Saturday 5 November.

The Ride is set to top the album charts this Friday and has had the critics raving with Q saying

"Van McCann’s dream is to headline stadiums. Don’t bet against it"

and Mojo coming to the same conclusion calling the album

"a second set of stadium ready anthems"

The band’s infectious collection of alternative rock anthems being described as

“flowers growing on the landfill"

by Metro’s recent 4* review.

Catfish and the Bottlemen are: Van McCann (vocals/guitar), Johnny Bond (guitar), Benji Blakeaway (bass) and Bob Hall (drums).

Last weekend the band thrilled the masses on the main stage at Radio 1’s Big Weekend and are now on their North American tour. Catfish and the Bottlemen have previously played at Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds festival and this new tour takes in Derby Arena alongside the SSE Arena Wembley and Ricoh Arena.

On the announcement Councillor Martin Rawson, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Communities and City Centre Regeneration, said:
